New Jersey's Quarterly Workforce Indicators QWI Explorer and LED Data Extraction Tool

Information on Employment for workers in different industries and different age and sex groups - so that you know where the jobs are - together with earnings - so you know what people are getting paid.

Also provides dynamic information on the rapidly changing economy - with information on where jobs are being created and destroyed, how much turnover there is in each industry together with long-term trends.

In today’s fast paced global economy, the demand for detailed and timely labor market data is increasing. State and local officials, in particular, need good local level data in order to make informed decisions. The Census/State partnership works to fill this critical need. The LED program within the US Census Bureau uses collaborations between state and federal agencies to bring together data sets in powerful relational databases. The end result is a unique set of Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWIs), such as turnover rates, new hires and job creation for local areas by industry, age and sex. The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development is a proud partner in this effort.

The links below provide access to New Jersey’s 29 Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWIs)
