Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno joined Labor Commissioner Harold J. Wirths (white cap) today in preparing a meal for first responders and volunteers who assisted in evacuating residents from their homes during Superstorm Sandy. The dinner was held at the Volunteer Fire Department in Surf City, where Michele Brown, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, also pitched in to prepare the meal. The Christie Administration marked the one-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy hitting the Garden State by having cabinet members and other officials volunteer at numerous Sandy Service Day sites throughout the state. An estimated 10,000 New Jerseyans benefited from the work completed at the fifty Sandy Service Day sites. |
