On
October 14, 1978, Mr. Limbaugh was arrested for two instances at
swindling and cheating casino gaming. Specifically, Mr. Limbaugh
post-posted illegal wagers in the amount of $50 and $25, respectively,
while playing the game of blackjack at the Resorts International
Casino. On October 15, 1979, he entered a plea of guilty to two
instances of committing larceny under the amount of $200 by swindling
and cheating at casino gaming. On the same date, he was fined $500
and ordered to make restitution to the Resorts International Casino
in the amount of $75. Mr. Limbaugh executed a Waiver Form, waiving
his right to contest a hearing concerning the placement of his name
upon a list of persons to be excluded from licensed casino establishments
within the State of New Jersey.
Mr. Limbaugh is not known to have a prior criminal record. On the
date in question, Mr. Limbaugh was warned on several occasions about
the placement of illegal wagers. He was observed on video tape on
one instance to past-post an illegal wager in the amount of $25
for which he was not charged. After being arrested, Mr. Limbaugh
stated that he was not responsible for his actions, but his actions
were caused by the casino giving him alcoholic beverages. |
