Gerald Nave is a career criminal offender
who has been convicted:
(1) On April 15, 1982, for criminal possession
of marijuana in the third degree. At the time of his sentencing,
he was serving time on New Jersey gambling charges and was therefore
sentenced to time served;
(2) On January 24, 1979, for one count of conspiracy in violation
of N.J.S.A. 2A:98-1 and 2, one count of engaging a messenger for
the business of a lottery in violation of N.J.S.A. 2A:121-3(a)
and N.J.S.A. 2A:85-14 and one count of possession of lottery paraphernalia
in violation of N.J.S.A. 2A:121-3(b). He was found guilty on all
counts and sentenced to a minimum two year and maximum three year
prison term be served concurrently.
(3) On October 26, 1970, for receiving stolen property for which
he was sentenced to a minimum of five years and a maximum of seven
years in prison, sentence suspended, and a fine of $2,000. He
was placed on probation for a period of five years; and
(4) On November 15, 1963, for assault and battery on a member
of the police department in violation of N.J.S.A. 2A:90-4, in
which he received a minimum term of two years and a maximum term
of 2 and 1/2 years.
