On
May 30, 1979, Ivan Jay Schindler was arrested for swindling and
cheating while playing the game of blackjack at the Resorts International
Casino. Specifically, Mr. Schindler "capped" a wager by
the amount of $150. Mr. Schindler won the amount of $150 as a result
of his illegal wager. On February 28, 1980, Mr. Schindler entered
a plea of guilty to one count of swindling and cheating at casino
gaming. This plea was entered in the Superior Court of Atlantic
County and Mr. Schindler received a fine of $300. He was ordered
to make restitution to the Resorts International Casino in the amount
of $150 and he executed a Waiver Form, wherein he waived his right
to contest the placement of his name upon a list of persons to be
excluded from licensed casino establishments within the State of
New Jersey.
Ivan Jay Schindler is not known to have any previous criminal record.
On May 30, 1979, his illegal activities were recorded on video tape.
An observation of this video tape reflected the fact that Mr. Schindler
was attempting to conceal his illegal activities and they were designed
to avoid detection by law enforcement authorities. Mr. Schindler
had $400 in his possession at the time of his arrest. |
