On November 1, 2005, Erikson Urtecho was arrested and charged with swindling and cheating, exchanging playing cards with a co-defendant. This act was committed on four (4) separate occasions. Mr. Urtecho was also arrested and charged on November 1, 2005, with an act of underage gambling. (Mr. Urtecho was at the time twenty (20) years old). On March 6, 2006, Mr. Urtecho was convicted of an amended charge of disorderly conduct, and the underage gaming offense. He was sentenced to thirty (30) days incarceration, which was suspended, he was fined, and he was placed on two (2) years non-reporting probation. Mr. Urtecho also had his driver’s license suspended for six (6) months.
Mr. Urtecho was subsequently convicted on May 17, 2007, of theft by unlawful taking (4th degree).
