MVC Is Open 24 Hours A Day To Assist Its Customers

(TRENTON) – In anticipation of the month coming to an end this Saturday, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) will be deploying additional staff to assist customers, but also reminds everyone that many transactions are possible 24 hours a day through the Internet.

“The MVC strives to provide excellent customer service for the millions of people we assist each year.  In anticipation  of  heavier volumes in our agencies this Friday and Saturday we encourage everyone who can, to take advantage of convenient and time-saving online transactions,” said MVC Chairman and Chief Administrator Raymond Martinez.

The MVC offers online registration renewal as well as the ability to change your address via this link: https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/About/MyMVC.htm.‎

The MVC’s Skip the Trip program is a key initiative that allows certain customers to renew their driver’s licenses through the mail. Customers who possess a Commercial Driver License (CDL) or Graduated Driver License (GDL), have an active suspension, have a Temporary Visa Restriction (TVR), have a boat license or boat endorsement, if you are required to have an ignition interlock device on your vehicle, or we require a new photo to be taken in-person, you are not eligible to renew through the mail at this time.
For customers who have to visit their local agency, additional staff are being deployed to provide a high-quality customer experience.

People can check agency volumes online before visiting a particular location.  For overall information, visit www.njmvc.gov.
