CUSTOMER ADVISORY

Eatontown Licensing/Regional Center Closed Until Saturday, October 24

TRENTON – The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) has announced that, effective immediately, the Eatontown Licensing/Regional Center will be closed until Saturday, October 24, due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

Eatontown Road Test Operations are in a separate facility and will remain open for appointments.

Eatontown Inspection Station will be closed on Tuesday, October 13, but will reopen for normal operations on Wednesday, October 14.

The employee who tested positive was last in the Eatontown Licensing/Regional Center on Friday, October 9.  The Center will be cleaned and remain closed until Saturday, October 24, once contact tracers have cleared a sufficient number of employees to reopen or any required quarantine is complete.

Customers can locate alternative Licensing and Regional Centers via the MVC’s Facilities Location page.

Nearby Licensing Centers include Freehold and Toms River. Trenton is an alternative Regional Center.

As previously announced, the Paterson Licensing Center, Newark Regional/Licensing Center, and North Bergen Licensing Center also are currently closed due to employees testing positive for COVID-19 at each location.

The Paterson and Newark Centers will reopen on Friday, October 16. The North Bergen Center will reopen on Tuesday, October 20.

Customers are always advised to visit NJMVC.gov before heading out to an MVC location, to identify the right location to visit, track capacity at Centers, find answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and see if they can “Skip the Trip” to MVC by completing their transactions online.
