CUSTOMER ADVISORY

MVC Vehicle Center in Runnemede Closed

TRENTON – The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) has announced that, effective immediately, the Runnemede Vehicle Center is closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The Runnemede Vehicle Center will reopen Monday, October 26.

The employee who tested positive was last in the Runnemede Vehicle Center on Saturday, October 10.

In total, seven MVC Centers are currently closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 at each location. In addition to Runnemede, the MVC locations in Eatontown, Paterson, North Bergen, Newark, Delanco, and Springfield remain shuttered.

Springfield, Paterson, and Newark will reopen on Friday, October 16. North Bergen will reopen on Tuesday, October 20. Eatontown and Delanco will reopen on Saturday, October 24.

Customers can locate alternative Centers to visit by using the MVC’s Facilities Location page.

Customers should visit NJMVC.gov before heading out to an MVC facility for the latest updates and to verify they need to visit an MVC location at all. Recent changes at the MVC mean only a few transactions require an in-person visit to an MVC Center.

Customers should use the MVC’s Online Services page to conduct transactions like license and registration renewals online.

Customers also can follow the MVC on social media on Twitter (@NJ_MVC), Facebook (NewJerseyMVC), and Instagram (njmvc) for regular news and updates.
