MVC Licensing Center in Rahway Closed

TRENTON – Effectively immediately, the Rahway Licensing Center is closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has announced. The Rahway Licensing Center will reopen Wednesday, November 4.

Road test operations in Rahway are not affected, and will remain open.

The employee who tested positive was last in the Rahway Center on Tuesday, October 20.

Other MVC Centers in Runnemede, Cardiff, and Manahawkin remain closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 at each location.

Runnemede will reopen Monday, October 26; Cardiff will reopen Wednesday, October 28; and Manahawkin will reopen Monday, November 2.

The Freehold Licensing Center also will be closed Saturday, October 24, and reopen Monday, October 26. The Freehold closure is due to staffing issues unrelated to COVID-19.

Customers can locate other Centers to visit by using the MVC’s Facilities Location page.
Customers are reminded to always log on to NJMVC.gov before heading out to an MVC facility, to check for the latest updates and verify what location to visit, conduct all available transactions online, and make appointments for select transactions.
