MVC Centers in Springfield and Cherry Hill Closed, Limited Operations at 4 MVC Centers Nov. 28

TRENTON – The Springfield and Cherry Hill Vehicle Centers are closed due to an employee at each location testing positive for COVID-19, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has announced.

Springfield Vehicle Center will reopen Saturday, Dec. 5. The employee who tested positive was last in the Springfield Center on Friday, Nov. 20.

Cherry Hill Vehicle Center will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 9. The employee who tested positive was last in the Cherry Hill Center on Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Cherry Hill Inspection Station remains open, as the facility is separate from the Vehicle Center.

Six other MVC Centers remain closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 at each location, and will reopen on the following dates:

  • Flemington Licensing Center – reopens Monday, Nov. 30
  • Delanco Licensing Center – reopens Monday, Nov. 30
  • West Deptford Regional/Licensing Center – reopens Thursday, Dec. 3
  • Lodi Licensing Center – reopens Friday, Dec. 4
  • Wayne Licensing Center – reopens Friday, Dec. 4
  • Salem Licensing Center – reopens Tuesday, Dec. 8

 

Lakewood Vehicle Center will reopen and resume full operations tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 28, following the closing of quarantine and full COVID-19 cleaning.

Additionally, four MVC Centers will be on limited operations Saturday, Nov. 28, due to staffing issues.

On Saturday, Nov. 28, Hazlet Vehicle Center and Freehold Licensing Center will be closed to the public, with appointments canceled.

Bakers Basin and South Plainfield Licensing Centers will be appointment-only, with no walk-ins allowed, on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Finally, the closure of the Lodi Licensing Center has been extended to Friday, Dec. 4, as an additional Lodi employee tested positive for COVID-19, requiring a revised timetable for necessary staff quarantines. The additional employee who tested positive was last in the Lodi Center on Thursday, Nov. 19.

Customers should always log on to NJMVC.gov to check the status of locations before heading out to any MVC facility. Plus, nearly 30 different online services and transactions are available at the MVC website, where customers also can make appointments for select license and vehicle transactions, find quick links for up-to-date information, and learn more about the many recent changes at the MVC.
