Elizabeth Ward is a Regional Planner and Land Preservation Coordinator with the Highlands Water Protection and Planning Council. Prior to joining the Highlands Council staff, Liz was a consultant working on a variety of local, regional, and statewide land use and transportation planning projects. Liz’s experience includes work in the areas of bicycle and pedestrian planning and design, transit access, Complete Streets implementation, and municipal master plans.

Liz’s experience also includes work with the Passaic County Planning and Economic Development Department, where she was involved in implementation of the Green Stormwater Infrastructure Element of the County’s Master Plan, evaluation of the County’s Complete Streets Implementation Program, and review of site plan applications.

Liz holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the George Washington University and earned a Master of City and Regional Planning from the Edward J. Bloustein School at Rutgers University.
