West Trenton - The New Jersey State Police and partnering domestic violence advocacy groups are seeking volunteers for Domestic Violence Response Teams (DVRT) in Sussex and Warren Counties, and volunteers for Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART) in Warren and Salem Counties.
Volunteer advocates will work in conjunction with the New Jersey State Police to provide support, information, referrals, and a safety planning to victims of domestic violence.
Volunteers must attend a 40-hour training course, possess a valid driver’s license, be willing to serve on an on-call shift basis, and submit to background investigations and fingerprinting.
