State Police Arrest Fugitive From Massachusetts Wanted for Murder

Newark, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police have arrested Jusselo Dias Dos Reis, 44, a resident of Brazil, for allegedly stabbing a man to death in Millford, Massachusetts on July 16.  An arrest warrant for murder was generated and Dias was entered into the National Crime Information Center with nationwide extradition

State Police detectives from the Fugitive Unit were contacted by the Massachusetts State Police and advised that Dias was possibly in New Jersey.  An investigation revealed that Dias Dos Reis was staying at a residence in Newark.

On Monday, July 17, members of the Fugitive Unit with assistance from the State Police Electronic Sureveillance, Crime Suppression North and K-9 Units arrived at 22 Vincent Street in Newark and arrested Dias without incident.

Jusselo Dias Dos Reis was lodged in Mercer County Jail pending extradition to Massachusetts.

Charges are mere accusations and the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
