NEWARK – The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs has proposed new regulations regarding crematories.
P.L. 2011, c. 230 requires that crematories be located on dedicated cemetery property and authorizes the Cemetery Board to draft regulations governing the operation of crematories. This proposal effectuates P.L. 2011, c. 230. The proposal also sets forth application requirements for entities that seek Board approval to construct a crematory.
