STATE POLICE ARREST ATLANTIC CITY ROBBERY SUSPECTS
ATLANTIC CITY-State
Police detectives assigned to the Division of Gaming Enforcement,
assisted by Atlantic City Police, Pleasantville Police, Egg
Harbor City Police, Vineland Police, and the FBI Violent Fugitive
Task Force, have arrested four additional suspects wanted
in connection with a series of armed robberies at the Sands,
Bally's Park Place, and Trump Plaza casinos.
VINCENT NELSON, age
24, of Pleasantville, surrendered to detectives accompanied
by his attorney, and was lodged in the Atlantic County Jail
pending arraignment.
EUGENE WILDER, age 31,
of Atlantic City, was located at a residence on West Pleasant
Avenue in Pleasantville after a brief foot chase, and lodged
in the Atlantic County Jail.
KEANE BLANN, age 32
of Atlantic City, was also at the Pleasant Avenue address
but escaped apprehension. BLANN was later taken into custody
in Egg Harbor City and lodged in the Atlantic County Jail.
BLANN had been listed as an unidentified suspect in this case.
EARL DENNIS, age 29,
of Atlantic City, was located by members of the Atlantic City
Police Department at the Atlantic Motor Inn on Pennsylvania
Avenue in Atlantic City. He was taken into custody without
incident and lodged in the Atlantic County Jail in lieu of
$500,000 bail, pending arraignment.
This investigation was a "text book example of old fashioned police work, coupled with a tremendous cooperative effort among local, state, and federal police agencies, as well as strong public support," stated State Police Captain David Grusemeyer, commander of the State Police Casino Investigation Bureau.
