It’s Cool to Conserve

In 2005 Ratepayer Advocate Seema M. Singh launched a statewide “Conservation for Kids” program initiative to educate elementary and middle school students on the importance of energy and water conservation. The theme for the program is It’s Cool to Conserve.

As a follow up to the presentation, the Ratepayer Advocate sponsors a contest for each participating school in which students submit poems, essays or drawings on what It’s Cool to Conserve means to them. The entries are judged by Ratepayer Advocate Seema M. Singh and her staff. Winners from each school receive trophies and each student who submits an entry receives a certificate for their participation.
