Division of Purchase and Property

Eligibility Requirements
The general eligibility requirement for this program is that you are an authorized representative of a public or nonpublic school, local government or nonprofit charitable organization operating within the State of New Jersey. Schools, government or nonprofit charitable organizations located outside New Jersey are not eligible for this program. Identification and/or documentation will be required at time of pick-up. The eligibility requirements are:

IF YOU REPRESENT A SCHOOL OR SCHOOL SYSTEM
  This program is open to all public and nonpublic schools in the State of New Jersey, including school boards and administrative support units. Charter Schools, Parochial Schools, Private Schools and Special Services/Special Needs Schools are among those eligible. School eligibility will be verified against the New Jersey Department of Education School Directory, which can be found on their WEB site at www.state.nj.us/njded/directory/toc.htm.

IF YOU REPRESENT LOCAL OR COUNTY GOVERNMENT
  This program is open to local and county government. Local government includes any public entity funded by local taxes including, but not limited to, administrative and operational units of towns, townships, cities, boroughs, police and fire departments, and public libraries. County government includes administrative departments, Boards of Freeholders, county services, and other entities of New Jersey's twenty-one counties.

IF YOU REPRESENT A NON-PROFIT CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION
  This program is open to all non-profit charitable organizations registered with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs pursuant to Title 45:17A, "Charitable Registration and Investigation Act.". Eligibility will be verified against the Division of Consumer Affairs' database of over 11,000 registered charities. This database can be found on their WEB site at http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/ocp/charities.htm. Organizations that are exempt from Title 45:17A registration requirements, namely religious organizations and educational institutions, are also eligible to participate in the computer donation program.
