Looking for NJ’s Top Seafood Chefs to Compete to Represent the State in Great American Seafood Cookoff

(TRENTON) – New Jersey professional chefs will have an opportunity to prove they are the premier seafood chef in the Garden State during the Jersey Seafood Challenge competition on Thursday, June 30, 2011. 

The event, hosted by New Jersey First Lady Mary Pat Christie and held at Drumthwacket, the Governor’s Mansion, asks chefs to showcase their culinary skills by preparing their signature dish focusing on Jersey Seafood and Jersey Fresh produce. 

The Jersey Seafood Challenge champion will represent the state in the Great American Seafood Cook-off in New Orleans on August 6, 2011.  The seafood challenge is being coordinated by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture.

Deadline for entries is June 22, 2011.
