Its revolutionary products and programs have helped customers enhance their relationships with the families they serve. Since 1908, Battleview Orchards farm and Country Store have been owned and operated by the Applegate Family. The farm allows the public the opportunity to pick their own NJ Strawberries, Sour Cherries, NJ Peaches, Nectarines, NJ Apples, and Pumpkins. The Country Store is open all year. It features their own Fresh Pressed Cider & famous Apple Cider Donuts, along with quality fresh fruits & vegetables. Battleview Orchards is generously providing morning refreshments for the Fair’s exhibitors.
Friends of Monmouth Battlefield was formed in 1990 and is a 501 (c)(3) not-for -profit organization devoted to preserving, protecting and historically interpreting Monmouth Battlefield and historically related sites. The Friends will be assisting the State with operational issues for the 2015 NJ State History Fair. www.friendsofmonmouth.org
Kingston Volunteer Fire Co was founded in 1924 in Kingston, NJ. They provide fire suppression and rescue services to the Village of Kingston and surrounding areas in South Brunswick Twp. (Middlesex Co.) and Franklin Twp. (Somerset Co.), and provide mutual aid services to surrounding fire departments when requested. They have graciously provided the funeral bunting for the Lincoln casket display.
Monmouth County Park System - From beaches to playgrounds to historic sites, the Monmouth County Park System has facilities to suit the needs and pleasures of all residents of Monmouth County. The Park System has generously offered to provide a tent for the Fair’s programming activities.
NJ Civil War Heritage Association was founded in 1998. Its goal is to preserve NJ’s Civil War heritage & educate New Jerseyans about the crucial role NJ played in the struggle to save the Union. The Association is providing the documentary, “Call to Duty” , to be shown in the Auditorium as well as the scenic backdrop setting for the Lincoln casket exhibit.
North Jersey Highlands Historical Society has generously agreed to once again sponsor Mr. Jack Sherry as Benjamin Franklin. The Society (NJHHS), founded in 1958, is dedicated to collecting & communicating the history of the Northeastern Highlands Region from prehistoric Native American to the present. They have a special interest in historic iron-making & the history associated with Ringwood Manor State Park - its industries, events & people.
Trap Rock Industries LLC— has generously offered to provide seating for visitors to the Fair’s Hay Bale Theatres. Trap Rock’s demanding quality control systems ensure consistent aggregate sizes from stone screening to riprap. Their asphalt plants produce only NJDOT approved hot mix asphalt.
Walt Whitman Association was originally founded as a group of Whitman friends and supportersduring the author’s life in Camden. The Walt Whitman Association is the oldest existing Whitman society in the world. Its mission is to support the preservation of his home in Camden and to promote the life works and legacy of America’s “Great Poet of Democracy”. The Association continues its support of the NJ State History Fair by sponsoring Mr. Darrel Blaine Ford as Walt Whitman.
