Historic Walnford, a property of the Monmouth County Park System, is open all year, including THANKSGIVING! The buildings will be open from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and the gristmill will demonstrate grinding corn into cornmeal from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. For more information call: 609 259-6275.

Dec 7, 1-4 p.m. "Stockings Hung With Care" Drop-in to learn about holiday traditions in the early 1800s, and decorate and stitch a paper stocking to take with you.
Dec 20, 21 Gingerbread 1-4 p.m. Stop in to inhale the rich aromas and taste the sweet spiceness of a variety of Gingerbreads; prepared from 18thand 19th c. receipts. Learn about the ingredients and the evolution of this wonderful winter treat from colonial hearth to edible architecture.
January 17, 2015 Celebrating Benjamin Franklin from 1-4 p.m. From music to electricity, we'll celebrate this amazing man with some simple and fun hands-on activities based on his inventions and experiments.
February 14, 2014 Roses are Red, Violets are Blue... from 1-4 p.m. you are invited to view some lovely 19th c. Valentines and then craft your own elegant or humorous card with the array of materials provided.
Prison Museum Association & the Loyal American Regiment
