  Twin Lights Historic Site
Lighthouse Road, Highlands, NJ 07732

  From North Jersey: Garden State Parkway South to Exit 117 (Keyport/Hazlet) to Highway 36 South (East) for 12 miles to Highlands. Make the last right turn before the Highlands Bridge which is Portland Rd. (Off The Hook Restaurant is on the corner). Make a second immediate right turn onto Highland Avenue and pass condominiums on left. The next intersection will be Lighthouse Road, (steep angle on left). Bear left onto Lighthouse Road; follow this road into the Twin Lights parking lot.

From South Jersey: Garden State Parkway North to Exit 105(Tinton Falls/Eatontown); Follow Highway 36 North (East) to Long Branch (also known as Joline Ave); Highway 36 turns left onto Ocean Ave. and heads north; Go through the towns of Monmouth Beach, and Seabright. Pass the entrance to Sandy Hook, Gateway National Recreation Area, cross the Highlands Bridge; take the first right turn off the bridge into Highlands; loop down under the bridge and up the other side of it; at the top of the hill go straight onto Highland Ave. The next intersection will be Lighthouse Road, (steep angle on left). Bear left onto Lighthouse Road; follow this road into the Twin Lights parking lot.

COVID-19 Update: The Grounds are open 9 AM to 4:30 PM, 7 days a week.  The lighthouse remains closed at this time.

GUIDED TOURS
Guided group tours are available with advanced reservations. Please write Nicholas.Wood@dep.nj.gov call the site office for further information or to schedule a tour of the grounds.  Tours are $5 per person over 5 and face masks are required.

FACILITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
The grounds are accessible and the building is partially accessible to persons with disabilities. Please contact the site of office for further information regarding specific disability access needs.Text telephone users, please call the New Jersey Relay Service at (800) 852-7899.

FOR YOUR SAFETY
Footwear is required while inside the buildings. Please do not climb fences or trees. Strollers must be left outside of the historic buildings.

FOR THE COMFORT AND ENJOYMENT OF ALL
Smoking, food, beverages and pets are not allowed in the historic buildings. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Drones are also prohibited. Please do not pick the flowers.

Handling of artifacts not allowed. Non-flash photography is encouraged to help preserve the artifacts. Your cooperation will help ensure the survival of the museum collections for the enjoyment and education of future generations.
