NJDOT Petersburg Maintenance Facility (Upper Twp, Cape May County, PI #012364)

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has completed review of the Limited Phase II Remedial Investigation Report received on April 20, 2009. The Department has determined that the Limited Phase II Remedial Investigation Report is in compliance with the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation, N.J.A.C. 7:26E and other applicable requirements and has approved the remedial activities proposed in the report.

Stor Dynamics (Elmwood Park, Bergen County)

The Site Remediation Program is issuing a Draft Decision Document to discuss remedial alternatives to address soil and ground water contamination at the former Stor Dynamics site located at 99 Main Avenue in Elmwood Park, Bergen County, and identify the preferred remedy. NJDEP has prepared this document for public release and is soliciting comments during the public comment period that runs for 30 days from September 3 to October 2, 2009.

DEP-PPG-Jersey City Settlement Agreement

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), the City of Jersey City and PPG Industries have scheduled a public meeting to discuss the DEP-PPG-Jersey City Settlement Agreement regarding remediation of chromium-contaminated sites. The public meeting was held Monday, March 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m at City Hall, located on 280 Grove Street, Jersey City, NJ.

NJDEP solicited public comments on the decision document during the public comment period that ran for 30 days from March 16, 2009 to April 15, 2009.

The Remediation of Contaminated Sites and Public Notification & Outreach, Adoption of New Rules and Amendments: N.J.A.C. 7:26C-10.4 and 7:26E-1.4, 1.11, 3.7, 4.1, 5.1, 8.2.

The Technical Requirements for Site Remediation N.J.A.C. 7:26E have been updated with the Public Notification and Outreach Amendments. The new Public Notification & Outreach Guidance is now online.
