2024 -2025 New Jersey State FFA Executive Board

State President - Niccolo Conte

Niccolo will attend Rider University in the fall to study Cybersecurity.  He served on the chapter strengthening agriculture committee and served as the chapter growing leaders committee chair for the Allentown FFA Chapter.  He was on the state winning Land Judging team this year and has competed in Floral Design, Floriculture and Meat Evaluation and Technology CDEs.  His SAE consists of him managing and building his family’s vineyard. Nicco also finds solace in listening to music, reading, playing video games, and especially watching Formula 1. When asked why he wishes to serve as a state FFA officer, Nicco says, “My mission is to give back to the community and encourage others to find something they are passionate about. I wish to inspire and empower my fellow FFA members to reach their fullest potential in whatever career path they choose.”

State Vice President - Allison Josielewski

Allison currently attends Mercer County Community College studying Plant Science.  She has served as chapter reporter for the Allentown FFA Chapter.  She has competed in Code of Conduct, Floral Design, Floriculture, Horticultural Exposition, Parliamentary Procedure, and Turf Management CDEs and LDEs.  Her SAE consists of growing herbs in an aquaponic unit using her greenhouse to house various vegetables. Alli loves to work in her greenhouse and garden as well as crocheting, painting and reading. When asked why she wishes to serve as a state FFA officer, Alli says, “I want to give back all that I have gained from the FFA and more, as I believe I can make a difference and inspire others to become the incredible leaders of tomorrow.”

State Secretary - Tyler Murnaghan

Tyler will attend Stockton University in the fall to major in Agricultural Policy.  He served as chapter student advisor, chapter vice president, chapter fundraising committee chair and chapter banquet planning committee for the Cape May Tech FFA Chapter.  He has competed in Agricultural Sales and Land Judging CDEs.  His SAE consists of him caring for his chickens and working at Beach Plum Farms.  Tyler enjoys being outdoors, maintaining his garden, learning more about history, philosophy, new languages and much more. When asked why he wishes to serve as a state FFA officer, Tyler says, “I want to give back to this organization that I love so much because of the abounding opportunities and experiences I have had.”

State Treasurer - Abrianna Portillo

Abrianna will attend Warren County Community College in the fall to study Agricultural Education.  She has served as chapter president, chapter vice president and chapter barnyard days committee chair for the Phillipsburg FFA Chapter.  She was on the state winning Floriculture team this year and has competed in Floral Design and Milk Quality and Products CDEs.  Her SAE consists of working in a local deli and butcher shop. Abbey is a member of the Stewartsville Grange and enjoys fishing, hiking, crocheting, journaling and reading. When asked why she wishes to serve as a state FFA officer, Abbey says, “I want to inspire members to continue to attend state activities and participate in workshops to ultimately improve their premier leadership, personal growth and career success.  I want to leave a lasting impact on this organization not only in my home chapter but through the state.”

State Reporter - Nina Weiland

Nina will attend Delaware Valley University in the fall to study Environmental Science/Soils and Land Use.  She has served as chapter reporter and Clinton Public Seed Planting committee chair for the Hunterdon County ESEA FFA Chapter.  She has competed both state and nationally in Agriscience Fair, Agronomy, and Land Judging CDEs.  Her SAE consists of soil science and compost management. Nina can be found taking care of her quail and chickens.  She also enjoys going to new places with her sister and cousins while they search for new thrift stores.  When asked why she wishes to serve as a state FFA officer, Nina says, “I wish to serve the New Jersey FFA Association as a State Officer to encourage members across the state to be active participants in FFA in order to amplify their high school experience.”  

 

State Sentinel - William Rutherford

William will attend Delaware Valley University in the fall to major in Secondary Education - Agriculture.  He served as chapter president, chapter treasurer, chapter banquet committee chair and chapter bingo night committee chair for the Cape May Tech FFA Chapter.  He has competed in Agricultural Sales, Environmental and Natural Resources and Turf Management CDEs.  His SAE consists of water quality testing and aquatic life care at Morey’s Piers.  Billy listening to music, going for drives, hanging out with friends and building Legos.  He also play volleyball and baseball.  When asked why he wishes to serve as a state FFA officer, Billy says, “I want to serve as a leader, a role model and an advocate.  I would love to show why Agriculture is the backbone of the United States and the world, and why we need it as a society.”

State Executive Committee Chair - Julia Moreno

Julia will be attending Rowan University in the fall to study Early Childhood Education.  She recently served as State FFA Secretary.  For her SAE, Julia works with her horse and manages his feed to ensure he is receiving a balanced diet.  She has participated in many CDEs including Farm and Agribusiness Management, Floriculture, Horse Evaluation, Livestock Evaluation, Milk Quality and Products and Veterinary Science.
