2002 Walleye Breeder at Hackettstown

Large walleye breeder

Fisheries Worker Steve Strodel holds an 11.4-pound walleye netted in Swartswood Lake. The fish measured 28½ inches.

Hackettstown Hatchery staff will use this breeder and others like it to produce fish for stocking in Lake Hopatcong, Greenwood Lake, Monksville Reservoir, Canistear Reservoir and Swartswood Lake.
