The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife announces an important deer check station addition in Passaic County for the 2000-2001 deer seasons. Totowa Bait & Tackle, located off Union Boulevard at 10 Albion Avenue in Paterson will be open to check in deer during all six of the deer seasons from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

"Hunters are reminded that they should check in their deer at the station closest to the harvest location," said Division Director Bob McDowell. "As a convenience to New Jersey deer hunters, there are approximately one hundred checking stations throughout the state, so that no matter where one chooses to hunt, a station is never that far away."

A complete list of deer check stations can be found on pages 27 and 34 of the New Jersey Fish and Wildlife Digest, 2000 Hunting Issue.
