PUBLIC MEETINGS ON STRIPED BASS FEB. 15, 16 & 17

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife will host three public meetings regarding the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Striped Bass. Meetings are scheduled for Feb. 15 in Rochelle Park (Bergen County), Feb. 16 in Cape May Court House (Cape May County) and Feb. 17 in Toms River (Ocean County).

The meetings are intended to gather public comment on possible strategies for the management of Atlantic coastal striped bass fisheries for the year 2000 and beyond. Public meetings have also been scheduled for many other states along the East Coast. Meeting times and locations are:
