MARINE FISHERIES PUBLIC HEARING START TIME CORRECTION

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife is holding a public hearing on proposed changes to marine fisheries rules on April 17, 2002 at Richard Stockton College, A-Wing Lecture Hall, Jimmie Leeds Road in Pomona, Atlantic County. The proposal was published in the New Jersey Register on April 1, 2002. Unfortunately, the published proposal lists a starting time of 7 p.m. Please be advised that the correct starting time is 8 p.m.

The proposed rule amendments concern recreational fisheries for river herring and striped bass, and commercial fisheries for blue crabs, American lobster, tautog, shark, black sea bass and weakfish. There are also proposals regarding commercial fishermen using gill nets or fish pots.
