BLACK BEAR HUNTING PERMIT APPLICATIONS MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND ACCURATELY

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife urges black bear hunting permit applicants to fill out applications completely and accurately.

"Numerous applications are being received that have either been filled in incorrectly or are incomplete," said Division Director Martin J. McHugh. "As a result, they are being returned for corrections and resubmission. Prospective bear hunters should realize that all of the information requested on the application is extremely important and we ask that you take the time to complete these applications carefully."

Applications that are filled out incorrectly or incompletely will be returned. Applications must be received (not postmarked) by Sept. 30, 2003.

Applicants should pay special attention to the following areas: Seminar selection notifications will be mailed after Oct. 8, 2003. Questions regarding application status will be taken after Oct. 13 at (609) 292-9192.
