The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has announced a new state-wide contest focusing on fishing in the state, the Fishing Fun Photo Contest. The contest is designed for families and friends to share the fun and excitement of fishing through a photo of a child fishing or with a fish they've caught.

The winning photos will be those that best capture the theme of the contest - kids know fishing is fun in New Jersey. First, second and third place winners for each category will be selected. Winners will receive fishing-related gear and be invited, with their immediate families, to fish at the Pequest Trout Hatchery's Fishing Education Pond on opening day of trout season. Winning photographs will be featured on the contest page the following year and may be used on the NJ DFW website and in publications.
