The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is reminding hunters that permits for fall turkey season and all permit deer seasons go on sale Tuesday, September 8 at 10 a.m. The fall turkey permit lottery has been discontinued and all areas are now open in the fall. Permits for all seasons will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis as long as permits remain available and the season(s) remain open.
Permits are available at license agents and online. Permit availability can be checked at https://nj.aspirafocus.com/internetsales/Home/AvailablePermits.
Hunters should be aware of changes to deer regulations, including the requirement to tag all deer upon their recovery. Please refer to the 2015-16 Hunting and Trapping Digest for regulation information.
