The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is seeking angler input on WARMWATER and COOLWATER fishing experiences in New Jersey through an online survey. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and includes questions on species preferences, waterbody success, fishing tournaments and angler opinions on fishing opportunities for species such as Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge, Walleye, Channel Catfish and Hybrid Striped Bass.
Unlike previous surveys, this survey is specifically designed to account for varying levels of fishing interests and experience. No matter if you are the occasional angler fishing just a couple times a year or the hard core fishing fanatic this survey is for you! Angler input at all levels of fishing interest and experience is important!
Please have your Conservation ID Number (CID#) handy before beginning the survey. Your CID# is the 9-digit number found on Freshwater Fishing License. For resident anglers 70 and older, use your CID# from the last license purchased or contact the Bureau of Freshwater Fisheries at 908-236-2118 to obtain a temporary CID# to use for the survey. This information, as well as your zip code, will only be used to assure that each angler responds only once. At no time will answers of specific individuals to specific questions be viewed.
The survey is available at:

The Division greatly appreciates anglers participating in the survey and their interest in guiding the future of freshwater fishing in New Jersey.
