The 2015 NJ Trapper Harvest Survey, containing questions about the trapping activities of trappers in New Jersey, is now open. The survey is available on the SurveyMonkey website or via hard copy.
The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife will use survey results to evaluate, plan and improve recreational trapping in our state. Responses also help determine harvest levels and trends of our furbearing species and to better understand the value of trapping to the state's overall economy. Both inactive and active trappers (even if not successful in harvesting fur) are encouraged to complete the survey. Any personal information provided is kept confidential.
The online survey can be accessed at www.surveymonkey.com/s/NJ2015THS. Hard copies can be obtained by sending an e-mail request to bioligst Andrew Burnett at Andrew.Burnett@dep.nj.gov.
Surveys returned by mail must be postmarked by April 30. The online survey will close 8:30am on May 1.
