The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is reminding hunters that permits for black bear, all permit deer seasons, and fall turkey season go on sale Monday, September 12 at 10 a.m. Permits for all seasons will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis as long as permits remain available and the season(s) remain open.
Permits are available at license agents and online. Permit availability can be checked at https://nj.aspirafocus.com/internetsales/Home/AvailablePermits once the page is activated.
Hunters should be aware that the black bear season will be held in two segments: an October archery and muzzleloading rifle only period, and the traditional December hunting period.
