State Record Gray Triggerfish (Spearfishing Category) Caught

The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has announced that Jeff Meyer of Warrington, PA, made his way onto the state spearfishing record fish list recently by landing a new state record Gray Triggerfish on August 14. Jeff was spearfishing from a boat when he got the fish. The fish weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces and was 2 ounces more than the previous record.

The new record Gray Triggerfish measured 20 inches in length and had a girth of 19.5 inches.
