Channel "Super Cats" Catfish Stocked In 28 Waters

October 13, 2020

The Division of Fish and Wildlife annually stocks over 70 waterbodies throughout New Jersey with Channel Catfish raised at the Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery. As an added bonus this year, 28 waters were stocked between October 6-9 with "Super Cats", which average 28 inches and 6.5 pounds. Similar to the Division's Bonus Brood Stock Trout Stocking Program, these 5+ year-old Super Cats have been retired as brood stock and are stocked for angler enjoyment.
