Registration of Entities to Receive Commission or Other Valuable Consideration

New Jersey licensed real estate salespersons, broker-salespersons and Salesperson Licensed with a Real Estate Referral Company (commonly referred to as ‘referral agent’) may register an entity with the New Jersey Real Estate Commission to receive a commission or valuable consideration for real estate brokerage activity per N.J.S.A. 45:15-16. The New Jersey Real Estate Commission has launched an online application process to allow for these licensees to register entities for this purpose.

To submit the application to register an entity to receive commission or other valuable consideration, a licensee will need:

  • License reference number
  • Online Licensing Services log in PIN
  • Certificate of Formation/Incorporation (for domestic entities)
  • Certificate of Authority (for foreign entities (i.e., entities formed outside of New Jersey))
  • Standing Certificate (all entities)
  • Credit card information to electronically submit the $50 application fee
