Travel Regulations Registration Fees pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-1.2

Travel regulations in New Jersey limit the maximum amount a district may spend per employee for regular business travel without board of education approval at N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-7.3(b). The annual amount was originally limited to $150 in 2009. However, the definition of “Regular school business travel” permits district boards of education to adjust for inflation the maximum allowable amount that does not require board of education approval. Accordingly, the Department has applied the NJ CPI calculation to the original FY 2009 maximum for district boards of education to use at their discretion. District boards of education may continue to use the $150 maximum or adjust for inflation, but may not exceed the amount listed for the current year in the table below.
