The New Jersey Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (NJCPFS) promotes public awareness of the importance of and opportunities for physical fitness and sports activities to achieve healthier lifestyles. The 16-member council is appointed by the Governor and works to benefit New Jerseyans of all ages, but focuses particularly on the state's youth through partnerships with physical fitness and sports programs.
