Proposal Description:
The proposal is for readoption, with amendments,
of N.J.A.C. 13:17 pertaining to the administration
of elections in New Jersey. Specifically,
the proposed rules address such areas as
the voter registration process, procedures
for declaring party affiliation, and the
deadline for submitting absentee ballot
applications. The amended N.J.A.C. 13: 17
also sets forth guidelines pertaining to
the accessibility of polling places for
the disabled, and for the granting of accessibility
waivers for specific polling locations.
The proposed readoption with amendments
appears in the June 19, 2006 edition of
the New Jersey Register.

Public comment on the proposed readoption
should be submitted by Aug. 25, 2006. Comment
was originally to have been submitted by
