Operation Whirlwind

The leadership of the
42nd Division Support
Command (DISCOM)
spent two days travelling 400
miles visiting various Forward
Operation Bases
(FOB's) throughout Iraq.
Soldiers from the 50th
Main Support Battalion are
located at FOB's Cobra
(group photo), Bernstein
(second photo), Olson (bottom
photos), as well as FOB's
Normandy, McKenzie. The
unit provides medical and water
purification (note: bottom
right photo, shows stages of
water purification) support to
the Soldiers and Iraqi citizens
in their area of operation.
