Energy costs are a big part of the family budget, and if you're on a limited income, they can sometimes be a burden. If you could use some help paying your utility bills, be sure to attend one of the upcoming Energy Assistance Day events near you.

Representatives from the state's natural gas and electric utilities, as well as Community Action Partnership agencies will be on hand to:

  • Determine which grants and resources best meet your needs
  • Assist with the application process
  • Answer questions about your bill
  • In addition, income-eligible households may qualify for free home energy improvements to help reduce utility bills through the Comfort Partners Program.

To apply for assistance, you'll need to bring Social Security cards and proof of income for all household members, your deed or rental lease and recent natural gas and electric bills.
