WHEREAS, Joni Elliott served the New Jersey Department of Agriculture from July 1992 through October 2012; and

WHEREAS, during her tenure with the Department, one of the many ways Joni distinguished herself was as the coordinator of the annual State Agricultural Convention; and

WHEREAS, Joni’s duties as the convention coordinator were highlighted by numerous innovations to the convention format, including the concept of listening sessions on important topics and a growing list of ways to honor outstanding accomplishments in New Jersey’s agricultural community.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the delegates to the 98^th State Agricultural Convention, gathered in Atlantic City, N.J., on February 6-7, 2013, do hereby express our gratitude and appreciation to Joni Elliott for her decades of selfless service to New Jersey’s agricultural community, from which all of us have benefited
