The State Agriculture Development Committee's Farmland Preservation Program periodically resells at public auction farms it has purchased and permanently preserved. See below for information on upcoming auctions.

SADC Auction Details

 

Former Schmied Farm Public Auction - March 5th, 2026

118.722-acre preserved farm with two houses, restricted for agricultural use as per the Farmland Preservation Deed of Easement.

 

  • December 18th, 2025: 1st farm tour will be held from 10:00am-3:00pm (no registration necessary)
  • January 8th, 2026: 2nd farm tour will be held from 10:00am-3:00pm (no registration necessary)
  • March 5th, 2026: Auction to be held at the Holland Township Municipal building at 11:00 am (Registration starts at 10:00 am)
