The following changes to the Department of Children and Families will further enhance the services that we provide to children and families. This represents smart government, one that is committed to improving effectiveness, efficiency, eliminating duplication and creating positive outcomes.

Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P)
Formerly the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS)

Division of Children's System of Care (CSOC)
Formerly the Division of Child Behavioral Health Services (DCBHS)

Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities
Services provided to children and youth by the Department of Human Services is currently under DCF. Families can access the expanded array of services at DCF, along with all child behavioral health services, through the Children's System of Care, formerly DCBHS. Division of Family and Community Partnerships (DFCP)
Formerly the Division of Prevention and Community Partnerships (DPCP)

Division on Women (DOW)
The Division on Women is currently under DCF transferred from the Department of Community Affairs which is responsible for domestic violence and women's services. DCF's new Division on Women will work in tandem with the Department's prevention programs and services currently provided by the Division of Family and Community Partnerships, formerly DPCP.
