DCF Celebrates Women’s Voting Rights and The Division On Women
August 26, 2018 marks the 98th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women the right to vote and the 44th anniversary of the New Jersey Division on Women.
Following more than 70 years of peaceful civil rights protests, the United States Congress ratified the 19th Amendment in 1920. A Joint Resolution of Congress in 1971, established August 26 as Women's Equality Day.
