The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife will stock a total of 800 quail on wildlife management areas (WMAs) with dog training sites prior to the November 11 opening of the small game season. The following WMAs will be stocked with quail for dog training purposes on October 7, 14, 21 and 28: Whittingham, Black River, Clinton, Assunpink, Manasquan, Colliers Mills, Stafford Forge, Glassboro, Millville and Tuckahoe.

We are pleased to once again be able to stock dog training areas for those small game hunters who wish to condition their dogs prior to the season," said Division Director Bob McDowell. "Due to a lack of funding, quail stocking of dog training areas has not been conducted since 1997. With the recent license fee increase, this is just one more activity we've been able to restore. I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and support."
