The following companies offer coverage for flood through an endorsement to a Homeowners policy. To obtain flood coverage with these companies, you must also have or obtain a Homeowners policy with them.  Coverage is on a primary basis. 

Coverage for flood is available through the federal National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).  For this option, please visit www.floodsmart.gov

As an alternative to the federal program, the following companies write private standalone flood insurance policies.  Some of these companies offer higher limits and/or coverage options not available through the NFIP.

For higher insurance limits above or broader coverages than those offered through the NFIP or private primary policies, these companies will write excess policies.
