CE Required to Reinstate a Broker, Broker-salesperson or Salesperson License

To reinstate a broker, broker-salesperson or salesperson license, you must complete the continuing education (“CE”) credits applicable to the license type in the preceding license term. 

  • Applicants to reinstate a broker, broker-salesperson or salesperson license must complete a total of twelve (12) CE credits as follows: 
  At least:   6 CE credits in core topics (at least 2 CE credits of which must be ethics); and (at least 1 CE credit of which must be Fair Housing and NJ Law Against Discrimination) and
  An additional: 6 CE credits in electives, ethics, fair housing or core. 
  • The CE required to reinstate could have been completed during the preceding license term (i.e., July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023) or during the current license term (i.e., July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025). 
  • If completed during the current license term, applicants must designate to the CE provider that the CE credit should be applied to the preceding license term (i.e., if you did not renew your license by June 30, 2023 and need to complete CE to reinstate, that CE should be applied to the 2021-2023 license term).
