Cholera

Report within 24 hours of Diagnosis to the Local Health Department.

Cholera is a disease that affects the intestines and may cause a person to vomit or have diarrhea. It is rare in the United States, but is common in other countries that have poor water treatment and sewer systems. A person may get cholera by drinking water or eating food that is contaminated with the bacteria.
